Our Lives are Stitched Together

For me, as a parent, there is no greater joy than to watch my children enjoying themselves. When we go on excursions to Smith’s Woods, they walk ahead of me and explore everything that tickles their fancy.
I enjoy watching them from a distance just being themselves. Each new story and adventure brings them closer together.
Our lives truly are stitched together with love, as there isn’t anything that I wouldn’t give up or do for them. July 2, 2007

Each Child is like a Butterfly

Isn't this kit of Doris just perfect for these pictures of Kaylie? I love the linen bg. ppr. and the shade of blue. The silver swirl is so cute, as are the painted flowers. For $4.00 this mini kit can't be beat! It is after all, a Doris original. LOL

Isn't this layout pretty? I just love, love, love its colors, stitched frame and brushes. It is called Butterfly Wings Pk. 2 found at CottageArts.net.

I also fell in love with an alpha pack: Elgant Alphas Pk. 1, which has 4 alphas! I used theBronze Bubbles Alpha for this layout, but can't wait to use the others. They have a classic, vintage look to them that appeals to me.

Debbie Pearson's Farewell Blog Play Day - HE SCORES!

Debbie will be leaving Scrapbook-Graphics at the end of July. The studio crew decided to do a blog playday where everyone selected a kit from Debbie's studio and created a page. If you like any of the kits be sure to grab them quick as she will be retiring them and who knows if they ever make a comeback.

Journaling: Kaylie and Liam were thrilled that Frank, our neighbor from across the street, gave them this basketball hoop and ball. The kids had a great time dribbling the ball, passing it around and scoring points. They had fun even if they missed more shots than they dunked. Boy, did they ever get a work out chasing after the ball! 7/15/2007

I am in love with this page set, rightly titled Innocene of Childhood. It is jammed packed with stickers, glittery elements, wortart and gorgeous colors, textures and designs. 15 Minutes of Fame

Last year, while at our local stumping grounds, Smithville Park/Rancocas Creek, we were skipping pebbles in the Creek when Liam engaged in conversation with a young fellow, who turned out to be Douglass Bovitt, a photographer for The Courier Post, here in South Jersey. He hit it off with Douglas and next thing you know he asked me if he could take a few photos of the kids. There were no guarantees that the photos would make it to print, but they did! The kids were thrilled to see themselves published in the newspaper.
(Headline, photo and journaling are clippings from the actual newspaper article.)

Hello Dear Friends,

I know it has been a while since I last posted a layout or comment, but life has a way of keeping me busy...oh wait, it is not life, it is my kids! :)

Anyway, my dear friend, Doris Castle, has tagged me! She asked me to list 7 things about myself, so here it goes:

1. I love the color orange
2. I dislike anything checkered/plaid.
3. Autumn is my most favorite season, followed by Spring
4. My hobbies are digital scrapping, photography, cross-stitching and nature hikes
5. I love to take my kids out to the lake for nature walks. I take them to the playground just about every day, for at least 2 hours.
