Mom's Favorite Season

Another page for the memorial book...

Mom’s favorite season was Autumn. She enjoyed the cooler weather and the changing of color of the leaves. She especially like the fiery red and orange leaves. She used to tell me that when she was younger, and still living in Puerto Rico, someone had traveled to the U.S. and brought back a postcard with scenery such as this one. She couldn’t believe that it was real; she thought it was a painting. She never imagined that later in her life she would actually get the chance to see it in person.

The Kiss

I am redoing a lot of my old layouts. This is one of the pages I redid. This template by Michelle Godin came in handy. The minute I saw it, I knew it would be perfect. The bows are to die for.
The same thing happened with my kit choice. Merry Memories by Bren Boone. The minute I saw it, I had to have it. If you are looking for Christmas or Winter stuff, Bren is the designer for you.

Trendy Little Girl - Scraplift of Michelle Godin at Scrapbook-Graphics

This is my layout for Studio Start #52, scraplift Michelle Godin at Scrapbook-Graphics. I used the Marilla Collection (which I raved about about a month ago).

Anyway, this photo was taken back in July 08th...I can't recall where we were going, but Kaylie looked so cute with her new shirt, head band and super cool glasses.

As anyone who knows me knows, I am not a very girly person...but I do enjoy buying pretty dresses and outfits for her. You name it, blouses, skorts, sandals, socks, dresses, purses or anything else girly, she has it. I didn't have any of these things when I was growing up, so I do it for her.

Me and My Shadow

Not long ago the sun was beginning to set and as it filtered through the window it cast a shadow and a beautiful array of rainbow colors. The refraction of colors was wonderful and caught my eye. I quickly grabbed the camera and was able to take a couple of shots, while Liam was busy looking at his shadow and wondered about the colors of the rainbow displayed on the wall.

I was not sure how I was going to scrap these pictures or what page set or elements I was going to use, but when I saw MARILLA: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION by ubber designer MICHELLE GODIN, I knew it was the right kit. The kit has 3 alphas and such gorgeous pprs., I love it to death. Before I get carried away, here is the link to the kit http://www.scrapbookgraphics.com/xcart/product.php?productid=18677&cat=0&page=1

Even more so because it reminds me of the Anne of Green Gables story about the orphan girl adopted by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, which story is set in Prince Edward Island, Canada. I have read the books many times and watched the movies, as well. Here is a link to a website, where you can learn more about her: http://www.anne3.com/

I can't wait to introduce my children to this classical story. In the meantime, I will cross my fingers and wait to see if Michelle will design a collection of kits based upon this beloved character.

Until next time, may you get your heart's desire. AND DON'T BE A STRANGER! 1063
