On Saturday, I took Kaylie to the hairdresser because her hair is getting so long, and is very, very, very dry. She uses Nexxus shampoo and conditioner, in addition to the serum, but the time she spends out in the sun is doing a number on her hair.
The stylists asked me what I wanted done with her hair and I told her that I just wanted her to trim off a good 3 inches. She had suggested maybe layering the hair so that it appears less bulky, but that would have meant that I wasn't going to be able to pull her hair back in a ponytail or do braids, and that is unacceptable to Kaylie.
The hairdresser asked me if this was Kay's first time getting a haircut that I wanted to take pictures (like I need a reason! :) and I told her no, this is not her first haircut but I like taking pictures and this is as good an ocassion as any. I like to see the before and afters, if truth be told. A good haircut can do wonders sometimes.
Anyway, Kaylie is much happier with her shorter hair...and it is so bouncy! Of course, the true test would be the braids....which of course, were easier to do because the hair is much shorter.
I think she looks great, don't you? 1201

Kait,
Have you ever tried using John Freida's Frizz Ease on Kaylie's hair? I used to find it at Target, but I think the larger Walmart stores carry it now. It tames the frizz and leaves the hair more manageable.
She looks adorable no matter what, but I know from a mom's viewpoint, more manageable hair is the way to go! I always kept Hannah's hair short because it was just not my thing. Now that she can deal with it herself, she's let it grow and the curls are amazing! I love it now that it's longer.
